Temporary Overnight Parking Ban on some Canal District Streets Monday Night

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Department of Transportation and Mobility announced Friday that workers will be re-painting existing pavement markings in the Canal District and Green Island neighborhoods overnight beginning at 9:00 p.m. Monday, August 5 and ending at 5:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. As a result, parking will be prohibited on one side of the street beginning at 9:00 p.m. Monday on the following streets:

  • Harding St. (Franklin St. to Kelley Sq.) – No Parking on the west (even #) side.
  • Water S.t (Franklin St. to Kelley Sq.) – No Parking on the west (even #) side.
  • Green St. (Foster St. to Kelley Sq.) – No parking on the east (even #) side.
  • Millbury St. (Kelley Sq. to Quinsigamond Ave.) – No parking on the east (odd #) side.

Vehicles that are parked in these designated temporary No Parking zones during the overnight prohibition will be subject to towing. This work is weather dependent. If conditions do not allow for this work to be completed Monday, August 5, it will be attempted the following Sunday or Monday.
