PSA: Second Water Main Break in Shore Drive Area

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Shore Drive area has experienced a second water main break. This break was at the intersection of the I-190 Southbound Frontage Road and Shore Drive by the YMCA. The break is isolated and the water is off. Water system pressure and flow are rising but will take all day and overnight to fully recover. Expect discolored water. It is expected to take all day and overnight to fully recover.
The I-190 Southbound Frontage Road is closed. Shore Drive is closed from the YMCA to Norton Drive, which is also closed. Please report any questions or issues to Worcester 311 via phone call, email, website, or the app. Updates will be shared as they become available.
