Green Hill Park Garden Plot Applications Live
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 3/2/2026 2:12 pm
WORCESTER, Mass. – The City of Worcester announced Monday that the applications for the Green Hill Park Community Garden plots are now live.
Last August, the Department of Parks, Recreation & Cemetery (DPRC) celebrated the opening of a new community garden facility with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Other Green Hill Park enhancements include a new greenhouse for DPRC staff to grow plants needed for municipal purposes, roadway improvements, and renovations of the historic stone wall that was once part of the original Green Family homestead.
Applications are now open for residents to secure one of the planting beds in the community garden, which are known to reduce food insecurity and increase access to healthy food.
The community garden provides access to 124 raised planting beds of various sizes, three ground level planting beds, and eight accessible raised planting beds for individuals with mobility devices. Additional amenities include benches, a storage shed, access to water spigots, debris bins, pedestrian lighting, security cameras, and improved access to the golf course. Newly paved walkways and accessible parking have been installed around the garden as well.
Applications are available on a first come, first serve basis through April 3, 2026. Link: Green Hill Park Community Gardens Application | City of Worcester
