On October 2nd 2023, Worcester Police Vice Squad officers had a search warrant for a Revere St address. At about 11 AM, officers entered the residence and detained individuals fleeing the scene. Officers observed a target of the search warrant, fifty-eight-year-old resident Shawn Shavies, holding a clear cylinder in his hand. After detaining him, officers determined that the container contained what appeared to be crack cocaine. Officers discovered additional crack cocaine, packaging materials, and digital scales. Mr. Shavies was placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking in a Class B Substance 18-36 Grams.
