On Monday, October 24, 2022 at approximately 2:00 AM Worcester police initiated a traffic stop on Austin Street. Officers discovered that the operator of a blue BMW was driving with a suspended license and did not have insurance.
The operator was identified as Joseph Pimental. Mr. Pimental and a passenger were removed from the vehicle. Inside the officers observed a firearm located between the driver’s seat and the center console. Officers later discovered that the firearm was stolen.
Joseph Pimental, 23 of Clarence Street, Worcester was charged with improperly storing a firearm, receiving stolen property over $1,200, carrying a firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without an FID card, operating after having a suspended license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
