The Mobility Action Plan builds a path for the City of Worcester to provide safe, sustainable, and equitable transportation network for people of all ages and abilities.
Build and operate safe streets for everyone. Fatalities and serious injuries on Worcester's roads are unacceptable.
Better walking, biking and transit can provide people with affordable ways to get around and meet their daily needs.
Giving people more mobility options other than driving alone will reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
*In the Past 5 Years
Getting to a safe, sustainable and equitable transportation network will require careful planning and coordination. This plan will help us to identify projects, policies, and other actions that will result in both short and long-term progress in accomplishing the following:
Complete Streets
The City of Worcester passed a Complete Streets policy in 2017. The goal of the program is to make the City's streets safer, more convenient and accessible to people of all ages and abilities, whether walking, rolling, biking or riding in transit or a motor vehicle.
