SITE COORDINATOR (Childcare)
DIVISION OF YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES
CITY OF WORCESTER

PENDING FUNDING APPROVAL

The City of Worcester seeks applicants for the position of Site Coordinator for our Worcester Cares for Kids babysitting program within the Youth Opportunities Division. Site Coordinators are responsible for communicating programming to participants’ families and communicating policy and procedures to staff, volunteers, and youth. The position will manage curriculum, community partnerships, and data and evaluation. Site Coordinators will oversee and manage all aspects of the babysitting program to ensure quality of programming and safety of youth. This position will be filled based on funding.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to support and supervise youth participants.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with community partners and families
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, organizations, and interests
  • Ability to work with students with special education/emotional needs
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability to build relationships and networking skills with participants, families, colleagues, and community members through video conferencing platforms

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with youth development work
  • At least eighteen (18) years of age or older
  • Six (6) months of previous supervisory experience
  • Six (6) months of previous administrative experience
  • Must pass a criminal background check (CORI & SORI)

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience working with children and families from diverse cultural, socioeconomic backgrounds and abilities
  • Experience facilitating OST (out of school time) activities
  • Experience working with Google Drive

SALARY RANGE: $17.00 -$17.50 hourly, seasonal, non-benefitted.
