The Worcester Police Department announced intermittent traffic control and anticipated traffic delays for Sunday, June 4th due to the Firefighter 6K. The Worcester Police Department is advising drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians to take extra care to obey the rules of the road and to be considerate of others traveling on local streets.
The kid’s race starts at 11:00 a.m. followed by the 6K at 11:30 a.m.
The following streets will be impacted:
-Salisbury St. will be shut down (Park Ave to Grove St.) -Wachusett Street will be one way going away from Salisbury Street -Dean Street will be one way going away from Salisbury Street -Boynton Street will be one way going away from Salisbury St.
-Grove Street will be one way going out of City
Again, due to heavy pedestrian crowds associated with this events, motorists are encouraged to exercise caution when traveling in these areas.
