PROGRAMMING LEAD, VIRTUAL COORDINATOR
DIVISION OF YOUTH OPPORTUNITIES
CITY OF WORCESTER
The Programming Lead (Recreation Worcester Virtual Coordinator) will supervise the virtual programming, curriculum, and staff including professional development. Responsibilities for this position will include communicating with families about virtual programming, scheduling and overseeing coordination and implementation of virtual programming. Additionally, the Programming Lead (Recreation Worcester Virtual Coordinator) will coordinate with the Recreation Worcester Program Coordinator and Division of Youth Opportunities staff to support partnering community organizations to provide enrichment to the virtual program. Responsible for assisting with connecting families with resources as needed.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Excellent communication skills;
• Demonstrated proficiency with computers;
• Strong understanding of virtual programming;
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse populations, organizations, and interests;
• Ability to work with students with special educational or emotional needs;
• Ability to build relationships and networking skills with students, colleagues, and community members;
• Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback;
• Ability to manage staff, scheduling, lesson planning, and program implementation;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Two (2) years of previous supervisory experience
• One (1) year of previous administrative experience
• Experience facilitating OST (out of school time) activities and programming
• Experience working with children and families from diverse cultural, socioeconomic backgrounds and abilities
• Experience working with Google Drive and/or Microsoft Office Suite
• Must have an updated physical exam in the past 12 months
• Must pass a criminal background check (CORI & SORI)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Currently enrolled in a College/University undergraduate program in Human Services or related field
• Ability to work with youth of all ages and of diverse backgrounds
SALARY: $18.00 per hour, seasonal, non-benefitted.
