WORCESTER, Mass. – The City of Worcester and the Worcester Fire Department (WFD) will hold a blessing of five new apparatus at WFD’s headquarters on Tuesday, Nov. 14.
The five new apparatus consist of three ladder trucks and two engines. The trucks will be put into service to replace Ladder 3 at the Southbridge St. station, Ladder 7 at the Park Ave. station, Ladder 1 at the Franklin St. station, Engine 13 at the Southbridge St. station, and Engine 11 at the West Boylston St. station.
Members of the press are welcome to attend and cover the event, which will feature a blessing offered by Fire Chaplain Rev. Johnathan J. Slavinskas.
