WORCESTER – The City of Worcester is making preparations for the arrival of a tropical storm Nicole this weekend.
The City’s Department of Public Works and Parks requests that residents clear storm drains and catch basins near their homes that may be covered with leaves to aid in the prevention of localized flooding.
The Customer Service line, which can be reached dialing 311 or 508-929-1300, will be staffed from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 12, to receive calls from residents who may need assistance or to report flooding, downed trees, or answer any questions.
The City’s Emergency Operations Center will be on stand-by in case the storm is severe and the response team needs to be elevated.
