Public Notice - Open Meeting Law Order

On Thursday, March 12, 2020, Governor Charlie Baker issued an executive order regarding suspending certain provisions of the open meeting law M.G.L. c. 30A, § 20. As a result of this executive order, all government boards in Massachusetts may now meet without a physical quorum of members present and without public access to the physical meeting locations.

In order to ensure the continuation of active public engagement, the City of Worcester will now use a phone conference line for members of the public to participate in all public meetings.

To participate during the public participation phase of City Council, Sub-Committees and Boards and Commissions you may call the direct lines indicated:

  • Esther Howland Chamber - 415-655-0001 (Access Code: 735751404)
  • Levi Lincoln Chamber - 415-655-0001 (Access Code: 730323290)

The City of Worcester will also allow residents to live stream all public meetings via Facebook Live, the City of Worcester website and the Local Government Channel.
