Worcester to Kick Off Recreation Worcester Summer Program, Youth Jobs Initiative

Worcester, MA (June 23, 2017) - The City of Worcester and its partners will host a press conference Monday to kick off the summer session of Recreation Worcester and a new job training program for young people.

Recreation Worcester is a free city-wide program run by the City of Worcester, operating at 10 parks across the City, Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Recreation Worcester youth participate in a number of positive, healthy, educational activities. Recreation Worcester strives to coordinate and supervise free city-wide, community-oriented recreational and educational opportunities for young people. In 2016, Recreation Worcester served more than 1,700 youths.

The City is the largest employer of youth in Worcester, and Recreation Worcester will employ more than 100 young people from our community this summer.
