EVENT & MARKETING INTERN
CITY OF WORCESTER
The City of Worcester Cultural Development Department seeks interns to assist in City of Worcester and Worcester Cultural Coalition marketing and special event program coordination. Qualified interns will illustrate an interest in cultural, economic, and community development, as well as public relations and event promotion and coordination. Intern duties may include, but are not limited to: writing and creating content (i.e. press releases, social media posts, email blasts, website posts); communicating with vendors and members of the public; producing graphic design items and distributing promotional materials; assisting with event coordination, setup/breakdown, and tabling; and conducting administrative assignments. Candidates must have an enthusiasm for public sector work, possess a good sense of humor and be an organized self-starter. Some weekends and night time hours may be required. Some physical work is required – interns must be able to lift 30-50 pounds of weight. Other duties may arise depending on individual interests and departmental need.
SALARY: $13.00 Hourly, Part-Time
