CITY OF WORCESTER
The Office of the City Clerk seeks qualified individuals to serve as temporary Election Officers for Mail-in Voting. Preparation for mail-in voting period is anticipated to begin September 21st and conclude November 6th. The incumbents must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment and have the ability to lift and handle materials and equipment up to forty (40) pounds. Furthermore, the applicant must have the ability to stand and or sit for prolonged periods of time.
Elections Officers are responsible for performing considerable customer service; preparing mail in ballots; processing mail in ballot applications in the state voter registration system; ensuring that election laws are followed; and recording election activities. Successful candidates will have thorough knowledge of business English, spelling and arithmetic; the ability to operate an iPad; ability to exercise good judgment in making decisions in accordance with laws, ordinances, regulations and established policies; possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse populations.

SALARY: $15.00 hourly, part-time, temporary (09/21/2020 – 11/06/2020).
