The Street Sweeping Program is designed to collect sand debris—not to collect yard waste.
Do Not Place Leaf or Brush Piles In the Street
Obey posted “No Parking” signs--Violators may be ticketed $50.00 and towed.
Beginning Wednesday, May 6, 2020, DPW&P will begin residential street sweeping in Routes 28 and 30 shown in the green shaded areas on the map online at the following link: http://www.worcesterma.gov/streets/spring-street-sweeping
These street sweeping areas are bounded by June Street, Pleasant Street, Highland Street, Park Avenue, Beaver Brook Parkway, Minthorne Street and Circuit Avenue North.
Residents in the sweeping area should sweep sidewalk debris into the street. Yard waste must not be placed in the street. Yard Waste will not be collected and violators may be fined.
The DPW&P sweeps residential side streets from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
The City’s three Yard Waste sites are open for residents to properly dispose of yard waste beginning Saturday, May 9, 2020. Bagged leaves and brush can be taken to 1065 Millbury Street Wednesdays from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Bagged leaves (no brush) may also be taken to the Chandler Street (across from Foley Stadium) or Clark Street (Near East Mtn. St.) drop-off locations on Wednesdays from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
