On May 16th 2023, Worcester Police Vice Squad officers possessed a search warrant for a Vernon Terrace apartment and two vehicles. At about 9 AM, officers observed the target of the warrant, thirty-six-year-old Adelmi Villa, enter his vehicle and drive to the area of Main and Sylvan St, where officers stopped him. They detained Mr. Villa, took the key to the apartment and entered it to execute the search warrant.
In the apartment, officers located a loaded 9mm magazine, a large amount of what appeared to be crack cocaine, digital scales and packaging materials. Mr. Villa and thirty-year-old resident Zoraida Checo were placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking in a Class B Substance 37-99 Grams. In addition, Mr. Villa was charged with Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
