On March 18th 2022 at about 9:20 PM, Worcester Police officers assigned to the Union Station substation were dispatched to the WRTA Bus Hub on Foster St for a report of a possible stabbing in progress. Upon arrival, officers could see evidence that someone had been stabbed and could hear a physical altercation taking place in the roadway.
Officers received a description of one of the males who had been involved in the altercation, and located him near Grafton and Franklin St. This male had suffered serious stab wounds and was brought to the hospital for treatment. Officers found the other involved male, identified as D’Angelo Aponte, twenty-one-years-old of Worcester, at the bus hub.
After an investigation, officers determined that Mr. Aponte was the aggressor during the altercation. He was placed under arrest and is charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife). He will be arraigned in court.
