On October 23rd 2023 at about 2:15 AM, a Worcester Police officer was on patrol in the area of Southbridge St when he observed a black SUV turning onto Southbridge St at an extremely high rate of speed. The SUV crossed both lanes on Southbridge St and went through a stop sign on Jackson St without slowing down, as it continued to gain speed. The officer followed the vehicle to Main St, where he activated his emergency lights and pulled over the driver.
When other officers arrived, the officer arrested the operator, forty-seven-year-old Juan Kevelier of Mayfield St, for Operating to Endanger and other motor vehicle charges. Officers located a large amount of appeared to be cocaine in the vehicle. Mr. Kevelier was additionally charged with Trafficking in Cocaine 100-199 Grams.
