On May 8th 2022 at about 8:10 PM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of South St for a report of a male shot in the leg. Upon arrival, officers rendered medical aid to a seventeen-year-old male victim who had been shot in the leg. He was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
On May 10th 2022, Worcester Police Gang Unit officers were on patrol in the area of South St. when they observed two males walking in the vicinity of an elementary school. After a brief interaction, a firearm was recovered and a 16 year-old male was under arrest. The shooting is still under investigation.
