On June 25th 2023 at about 1:30 AM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to a home invasion on Houghton St. After an investigation, officers determined that several people forced their way into the apartment and began attacking residents inside. The follow-up investigation was handled by Worcester Police detectives.
On June 28th 2023, detectives applied for and were granted arrest warrants for thirty-six-year-old Samantha Houle of Lodi St, eighteen-year-old Damien Zevallos of Lodi St, and two male juveniles. The warrants were all for five counts of Home Invasion, and five counts of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (kitchen pan). On June 29th, officers located all four of them on Lodi St, where they were placed under arrest for the warrants. Ms. Houle also had an active arrest warrant from Connecticut.
In addition, Mr. Zevallos had a fanny pack with a loaded handgun inside. He does not have a license to carry firearms. He is additionally charged with Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, and Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card.
