The Administrative Division of the Worcester Police Department oversees crime analysis, training, the records bureau, licensing and the Department’s off duty assignments.
The Division includes the following:
Paul B. Saucier - Interim Chief
The Bureau of Investigative Services comprises the Department’s Detective Bureau, Forensic Services Section, Gang Unit and Vice Units. The Bureau of Investigative Services is responsible for the daily administration of law enforcement investigations and follows up in response to major crimes meriting prosecution with a primary focus on a reduction in violent crimes to include: homicides, narcotics, firearms offences and gang related crimes. The unit is also charged with alcohol enforcement and licensing of liquor establishments in the City of Worcester.
The function of the Bureau of Professional Standards is to ensure the integrity of the Worcester Police Department and its personnel, both sworn and non-sworn.
Carl J. Supernor - Deputy Chief
The Operations Division responsibilities are to address calls for service 24/7, provide traffic enforcement, staff the Department’s community impact operations and provide liaisons to the Worcester Public Schools.

The Services Division provides management of the detention area, court liaisons, support services, and accident reconstruction.
