To advise on diversity and equal opportunity in the areas of recruitment, hiring, promoting and retaining a diverse pool of city employees. The Committee will review and update the City's Affirmative Action Policy and Plan.
Active participation in meetings; become knowledgeable about diversity, inclusion and equity issues in the areas of recruitment, hiring and retention of city employees; active participation and making recommendations on policies, plans, initiatives and outreach opportunities when needed; serve on sub-committee if appointed.
Interest in improving diversity and inclusion and equity in the areas of recruitment, hiring and retention; ability to provide perspective on Worcester's workforce reflecting Worcester's diverse community; willingness to maintain a professional, supportive relationship with City staff, departments and divisions.
