Other Post Employment Benefits (OPEB) Liability Trust Fund

The City is seeking individuals to serve on the recently created, OPEB (Other Post-Employment Benefits) Trust Fund Board of Trustees. The individuals that serve on the Board will provide general supervision of the management, investment and reinvestment of the OPEB Fund.

Duties of the OPEB Liability Trust Fund include:

  • Adopt and amend a declaration of trust describing in detail its duties, obligations and operations.
  • Make a report to the City Council, School Committee, City Manager and Superintendent of Schools as to the balances and investment transactions of the OPEB Fund.
  • Employ reputable and knowledgeable investment consultants, adopt rules and regulations in accordance with law for the conduct of its affairs and perform such other duties as may be prescribed by law.

OPEB Voting

Voting Period: December 9, 2024 at 8 a.m. - December 27, 2024 at 5 p.m.

You may only vote once for a candidate; retirees must vote for a retired applicant.

Active Employees

Must be a current City of Worcester employee or employee of the Worcester Public Schools.

Retired Employees

Must be a retiree from the City of Worcester or the Worcester School Department.
