Worcester, MA (February 21, 2017) - Lt. Miguel Lopez has lead the Worcester Police Department's recruitment efforts by organizing informational presentations about the Police Civil Service Exam at various sites throughout the City. Lt. Lopez has connected with churches, colleges, small minority-owned businesses, non-profits, civil-rights organizations and other community stakeholders to ensure that information about the civil service process and police applicant process reaches every segment of the community. Lt. Lopez has also worked with the NAACP and Black Clergy Alliance to provide outreach about the exam.

The deadline to register for the Police Civil Service Exam is TODAY, February 21, 2017.
This examination is being held to establish an eligible list from which to fill Trooper vacancies in the Massachusetts Department of State Police, Civil Service Municipal Police Officer and MBTA Transit Police Officer vacancies in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Written Examination date: March 25, 2017
Application Deadline: February 21, 2017
Examination Fee for State Trooper Application ONLY: $100
Examination Fee for Municipal and Transit Police (MBTA) ONLY: $100
Examination Fee for all: Municipal Police, Transit Police (MBTA) AND State Trooper: $150
*There is an additional $50 late fee for applications received after this date. Applications will NOT be accepted after March 1, 2017.
Written examination locations: Various sites across the Commonwealth. Candidates must take and pass this examination in order to be placed on the eligible list.
