Worcester Fire Department to host Memorial Sunday, Oct. 7; Promotion Ceremony, Oct. 9

The City of Worcester Fire Department has announced the following upcoming events:
- Worcester Firefighters’ Memorial Sunday – Sunday, October 7, 9 a.m. – Firefighters’ Memorial Monument – WFD headquarters, 141 Grove Street. This event will honor members of the Worcester Fire Department who have passed away, including a memorial service with a roll call recited to 26 retired members who passed away during the last year. This event is open to the public.
- Worcester Fire Department Promotion Ceremony – Tuesday, October 9, 4:30 p.m. – Levi Lincoln Chamber, City Hall. The City of Worcester will host a ceremony recognizing the promotion of four members of the Worcester Fire Department.
