The library also offers many virtual, online and remote services. The library has a broad collection of eContent available to residents of Worcester. The Talking Book Library provides services to residents who are unable to read traditional print materials due to a visual or physical disability. These services include recorded stories created and curated by staff, audio descriptions of events happening at the library, featured stories read by WPL librarians and more. Training and classes to learn new skills for jobs or personal enjoyment are now available for adults, teens or children. Hybrid programming, online and in-person programs, meets the needs of those who cannot make it to the library as well as those who do not have access to online programs.
The City of Worcester Department of Sustainability & Resilience will host its inaugural Green Worcester Summit “Building Resilience, Together” on Saturday, May 11.
