On August 29th, 2020 at about 7:25 PM, a Worcester Police sergeant working Summer Impact was on patrol in the area of King St. The sergeant observed an individual, later identified as Edwin Torres, twenty-nine-years-old of Grand St, walking aimlessly with no apparent destination. Another male approached Mr. Torres and had a brief conversation. After the conversation, the sergeant observed Mr. Torres look around, then take paper currency from the male and give him what appeared to be several small items in return.
The sergeant broadcast what he saw over the radio, and officers stopped the buyer and discovered what appeared to be Fentanyl. Mr. Torres was placed under arrest for Distribution of a Class A Substance. He will be arraigned in court.
