For Immediate Release: 2/21/2022 11:19 am

On February 21st at about 2 AM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of Moreland St for a report of individuals with firearms behaving suspiciously. Officers were told that a newer-model blue BMW pulled up to a residence, two males with firearms exited, and crouched near a residence as if trying to hide. They got back into the vehicle and it drove away. The vehicle came back, and two males exited and began walking around the property before driving off again. Officers broadcast a description of the vehicle over the radio.

At about 3 AM, an officer on patrol in the area of Main and Hammond St saw a newer-model blue BMW drive by him at a high rate of speed. The officer followed the vehicle, activated his blue lights, and stopped the vehicle in the area of Main at Herman St.

The officer waited for backup officers to arrive, then approached the vehicle, which was occupied by five males. The driver, eighteen-year-old Thaddeus Rodriguez-Felix of Westborough, exited the vehicle, pushed one of the officers, and attempted to flee. He was taken into custody. The other occupants, three of whom were juveniles, were removed from the vehicle.

Officers located a handgun and multiple bags of what appeared to be heroin in the vehicle. A second firearm was located in the waistband of a sixteen-year-old occupant of the vehicle. Officers placed the sixteen-year-old and two seventeen-year-olds under arrest. The sixteen-year-old attempted to flee after he was handcuffed, but was taken into custody again.

Jimmy Feliciano, eighteen-years-old of Vaughan Ave, was placed under arrest and is charged with Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Improper Storage of a Firearm, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, and Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol. Mr. Thaddeus Rodriguez-Felix faces identical charges and was also issued a citation for Driving with Speed Greater than Reasonable. They will be arraigned in court.
