On October 3rd, 2020 at about 5:40 PM, a Worcester Police officer attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of Lincoln St and the operator and passengers fled on foot. A description of the passengers was broadcast over the radio. At approximately 7 PM, an officer stopped Nathan Russell and Omar Molina in the area of Eastern Ave. When Mr. Russell and Mr. Molina saw the officer, they ran away from the officers and fled through private property. Multiple neighborhood residents complained about the pair trespassing on their property.
Officers caught up to Mr. Russell and Mr. Molina in the area of Blodgett Place. Officers checked the area, and located two loaded handguns that they believe had been dropped by Mr. Russell and Mr. Molina during the foot pursuit. Neither Mr. Russell nor Mr. Molina has a license to carry firearms in Massachusetts. They were placed under arrest and are both charged with Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, Improper Storage of a Large Capacity Firearm, Disorderly Conduct, and Disturbing the Peace. They will be arraigned in court.
