On February 3rd 2022 at about 2:35 PM, Worcester Police officers responded to McDonald’s on Main St for a report of a carjacking. Upon arrival, officers received information that a vehicle owner had parked in the McDonald’s lot and entered the restaurant with his vehicle still running. He came out and observed a male, identified as Edwin Reyes, thirty-years-old of Cutler St, entering the driver’s seat of the vehicle.

The victim ran outside and attempted to open the vehicle’s door, but it was locked. Mr. Reyes reportedly lowered the window and pushed the victim away as he drove off. A description of the vehicle was broadcast over the radio, and officers located it on Ellsworth St about twelve minutes later. Mr. Reyes was the lone occupant, and he was placed under arrest for Carjacking. He will be arraigned in court.
