On June 23rd 2022 at about 3:10 PM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of the Worcester Public Library for a report of a fight involving knives. Upon arrival, officers noticed three males running and bumping into people on Franklin St. Officers pursued the males and located two of them. A search of one of the males, identified as Chris Tisdale, twenty-two-years-old of Richards St, revealed a silver kitchen knife. Officers located a seventeen-year-old who also had a knife on his person.
The initial investigation revealed that Mr. Tisdale and the seventeen-year-old were involved in a dispute with an eighteen-year-old. Witnesses reported that Mr. Tisdale and the seventeen-year-old brandished knives at the eighteen-year-old during the dispute. Mr. Tisdale and the seventeen-year-old were placed under arrest and are charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife), Disturbing the Peace, Disorderly Conduct, and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon. They will be arraigned in court.
