On February 17th 2022 at about 12:35 PM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of 205 Chandler St for a report of a possible stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located a twenty-seven-year-old male stabbing victim. Officers rendered medical aid and began the investigation as the male was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Officers received a description and direction of a travel of a possible suspect. Shortly after this, officers stopped Jose Figueroa-Mendoza, thirty-two-years-old of Worcester, in the area of Walgreens on Park Ave. After investigating further and developing probable cause, officers placed Mr. Figueroa-Mendoza under arrest. He is charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (Knife) and will be arraigned in court.
