WPD Officers Arrest Four After Shots Fired on Lynwood Lane

For Immediate Release: 1/9/2021 1:02 pm

On January 8th at about 9:50 PM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of Lynwood Lane and Salisbury St for a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers received information that a black Cadillac had stopped on Lynwood Lane. One of the vehicle occupants stepped out of the vehicle and fired a handgun at a residence. The suspect got back into the vehicle and it drove away.

After officers issued a BOLO for the vehicle, an officer spotted the vehicle on Dick Drive. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle, but its operator accelerated and attempted to flee. After a brief motor vehicle pursuit, the suspect vehicle pulled into a driveway on Haviland St. As the occupants opened the doors and attempted to flee, officers ordered them to the ground and placed them in handcuffs. Officers discovered rounds of live ammunition in the vehicle.

The driver was a seventeen-year-old juvenile, and the passengers were Noah Dorsett, twenty-years-old of Laconia Rd, Jayden Nolan, eighteen-year-old of Beaconsfield Rd, and Cullen McNamara, eighteen-years-old of Clinton. They were all placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, Disorderly Conduct, and Disturbing the Peace. In addition, Mr. Nolan was charged with possession of a Class B Substance (cocaine) and the juvenile was charged with Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Failure to Stop for Police, and Operating to Endanger. They will be arraigned in court.
