On September 1st, 2020 at about 5:40 PM, a Worcester Police Gang Unit officer received information that a male, later identified as Sarmad Mohsin, eighteen-years-old of Richards St, was attempting to illegally sell a firearm in the area of Lovell St. Officers observed Mr. Mohsin in his vehicle and attempted to pull him over near the area of Lawnfair and Mann St.
Mr. Mohsin failed to stop for police, and appeared to throw an item out the window in the area of Reed St. Mr. Mohsin stopped in the area of King and Shepard St, got out of the vehicle, and began to run. Officers located Mr. Mohsin on Shepard St, and located a firearm and ammunition. Mr. Mohsin does not have a license to carry firearms. Mr. Mohsin was placed under arrest and is charged with Unlawfully Carrying a Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, Resisting Arrest, Failure to Stop for Police, Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle, and Operation of a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License. He will be arraigned.
