On October 13th 2022 about 10:50 PM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to Honey Dew Donuts on Gold Star Boulevard for a report of an alarm. Upon arrival, officers observed a Honda Civic that had struck the building, come apart, and ended up partially in the building. Worcester Firefighters assisted the male driver out of the vehicle and provided him with medical aid. The male was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the Crash Reconstruction Unit responded.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle was operating at a very high speed when the driver lost control and hydroplaned, striking the concrete bollard outside the business. The Crash Reconstruction Unit’s investigation is open.
