On April 6th 2022 at about 2 PM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of 642 Pleasant St for a report of a rollover motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, officers located a Jeep lying on its side in the westbound lane and a Toyota Camry next to it. The operator of the Jeep, a fourteen-year-old female, was standing inside it unable to exit. The operator of the Camry, a seventy-year-old male, and a sixty-six-year-old female passenger were on scene and injured. All of them were treated medically and transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Crash Reconstruction Unit responded to investigate the crash. The preliminary investigation revealed that the Camry was travelling west on Pleasant St in the left lane. The Jeep was travelling west on Pleasant St in the right line. The Jeep changed lanes into the left lane and was impacted by the Camry, causing the Jeep to rollover in the middle of Pleasant St. The investigation into the circumstances of the crash and how the fourteen-year-old obtained the vehicle is open.
