On January 5th and January 6th 2022, the Worcester Police Neighborhood Response Team has been conducting street-level drug enforcement in the area of Main and King St after receiving neighborhood complaints. After two days of conducting surveillance and interrupting drug deals, officers took out charges on twenty-two individuals for crimes such as drug distribution, possession with intent to distribute drugs, possession of dangerous weapons, and outstanding warrants. Depending on the offense, individuals were either arrested or issued a summons to appear in court, where they will be arraigned.
