On Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at approximately 12:45 AM Worcester Police were called to the area of 186 Stafford Street for a report of a stabbing. Officers located a 26-year-old male suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was taken to a local hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
As additional officers responded to the incident they observed a female jump from a moving vehicle in the vicinity of 3 Stafford Street. The female victim suffered from minor injuries. The male operator of the vehicle fled and was located after a foot pursuit. During the investigation, police learned that the male was the suspect of the stabbing incident. Officers seized a knife from the suspect. He was also in possession Suboxone and other pills that he could not provide a prescription for.
Officers also learned that earlier in the evening, the male forced the female victim into her vehicle and struck and punched her. The male also held a knife toward the female and demanded that she hand over her purse to him.
Under the domestic violence law, the name of arrestee will be withheld.
The 27-year-old male of Worcester was charged with Assault and Battery, Assault and Battery on a Household Member, Mayhem, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Armed Robbery, Carjacking, Kidnapping, Witness Intimidation, Resisting Arrest, Disorderly Conduct, Operating after a Suspended or Revoked License, Possession of Class B Substance and Possession of Class E Substance.
