On Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at approximately 6:00 PM Worcester police received a report of a hit and run pedestrian accident in the area of 710 Pleasant Street. The victim of the pedestrian accident was identified as an 11-year-old boy. The boy was receiving medical attention from Worcester EMS when police arrived on scene. His injuries are not considered life threatening. Officers were notified that the driver of the vehicle fled the scene. During the investigation officers learned that the vehicle was possibly a dark colored four door sedan. The boy was struck as he was attempting to cross Pleasant Street by using the crosswalk.
The investigation continues.
