On Tuesday, December 28, 2021 a Worcester Police K9 Officer was assisting the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Unit in an attempt to locate Mr. Wilbert Nieves who had several outstanding warrants for firearm charges.
At 8:00 AM officers arrived at 111 Country Club Blvd and knocked on the door. They were let into the apartment by a female who allowed them to search the apartment. Officers located Mr. Nieves hiding under a bed and armed with a firearm. Mr. Nieves was removed from under the bed without incident. Officers safely removed the loaded firearm from Mr. Nieves’ waist band.
Wilbert Nieves, 23, of 111 Country Club Blvd, Worcester was charged with possession of a firearm without an FID card, carrying a firearm without a license and possession of ammunition without an FID card
