On August 16th, 2020 at approximately 9:30 PM, Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of 50 Cambridge St for a report of a male shot in the hand. Upon arrival, police located Robert Dupuis, thirty-years-old of Worcester, suffering from a gunshot injury to his hand. Mr. Dupuis was transported to the hospital where he was treated and released.
Shortly thereafter, a male arrived at the hospital suffering from a gunshot injury to the head. The male was treated at the hospital and pronounced deceased a short time later.
After an investigation into the shooting death, the Worcester Police obtained arrest warrants for Robert Dupuis and Malek Matos, thirty-four-years-old of Worcester. Both men have been charged with multiple offenses related to the shooting.
