On Monday, November 15, 2021 at approximately 12:00 PM multiple police units were dispatched to Cornerstone Bank located 230 Park Avenue for a report of an unarmed robbery. During the investigation, officers learned that the suspect approached the teller and handed her a note demanding cash. The suspect was wearing a mask and held his hand inside his sweatshirt giving the appearance that he was armed with a firearm. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
A few minutes after the robbery, a male matching the description of the suspect was stopped by police. He was found to be in possession of money from the bank. He was also in possession of a box cutter knife.
Nathon Ribeiro-Neves of 981 Montello Street, Brockton, MA was charged with Armed Robbery while Masked. He also had three outstanding warrants for his arrest.
