EMERGENCY COVID-19 DISPENSING SITE MANAGER
DIVISION OF PUBLIC HEALTH
CITY OF WORCESTER

The City of Worcester’s Division of Public Health seeks to fill the position of a temporary COVID-19 Emergency Dispensing Site (EDS) Manager. Reporting to the Director of Public Health or his/her designee, the EDS Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day non-clinical operations of the Emergency Dispensing Site. The EDS Manager will be responsible for ensuring the EDS runs efficiently, ensuring volunteer staffing is appropriate based on operational need, and to provide support to the Clinical EDS Manager to ensure the vaccination process take place without interruption. The successful candidate shall have experience with customer service, customer de-escalation, excellent communication skills, portal navigation, desktop/iPad/smart phone applications, and have the ability to appropriately determine vaccination eligibility.

The EDS Manager responsibilities will include ensuring the EDS site is prepared to open, provide recipient greeting and initial triage upon site entry to include registration/review of pertinent forms, recipient observation, and checkout/form collection. The EDS Manager will maintain daily staffing information for clinic volunteers and City of Worcester staff, assist with volunteer shift assignments, and brief the non-clinical volunteers regarding site operations. In addition, the EDS Manager will provide support to non-clinical volunteers/staff in completing their assigned roles, rotating non-clinical volunteers/staff as needed, ensure that all dispensing has been completed for the day and vaccine recipients are cleared out of the EDS, oversee the breakdown and closing of EDS, debrief EDS staff to daily operations and complete shift report.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Three (3) or more years of previous customer service in a fast paced environment
• Previous supervisory/leadership experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate Microsoft Office
• Previous experience with portal navigation, iPad and smart phone applications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associate’s Degree
• Knowledge of Emergency Dispensing Site Plans
• Volunteer Management Experience
• Emergency Preparedness Experience

SALARY: $21.82 per hour, 40 hours per week, temporary grant funded position.
