PAYROLL MANAGER
TREASURER AND COLLECTOR'S DEPARTMENT
CITY OF WORCESTER
The City of Worcester seeks qualified applicants for the position of Payroll Manager for the Treasurer and Collector's Department. The Payroll Manager oversees City-wide payroll operations and the work of one accounting/payroll staff. This position requires competence with regard to payroll management and law to ensure the timely, valid, and accurate issuance of payroll and withholdings in accordance with State and Federal law. This position is responsible for overseeing the execution of key internal control procedures on a timely basis. The Payroll Manager is also responsible for ensuring that all transactions are processed in accordance with the Treasurer and Collector’s policies and procedures and must be promptly and accurately recorded in the City’s books and records.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
o An equivalent combination of education & experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the required duties of the position will be considered in lieu of the above-mentioned requirements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
SALARY RANGE: $75,721- $99,368 annually, exempt, full-time, with an excellent benefits package.
