SITE COORDINATOR (Childcare)
RECREATION WORCESTER
CITY OF WORCESTER

The City of Worcester seeks applicants for a Site Coordinator for the Division of Youth Opportunities for the Worcester Cares for Kids babysitting program. This position is responsible for communicating programming to participants’ families and communicating policy and procedures to staff, volunteers, and youth. Site Coordinator will manage curriculum, community partnerships, and data and evaluation. This position will oversee and manage all aspects of the babysitting program to ensure quality of programming and safety of youth.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective organizational skills including the ability to think clearly and logically
  • Strong desire and ability to support and supervise youth participants.
  • Ability to build relationships and networking skills with students, colleagues, and community members through video conferencing platforms
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment; to be flexible, timely, and to multitask
  • Ability to build relationships with peers and community members
  • Ability to work collaboratively with community partners and families; to work with students with special educational or emotional needs
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Ability provide and receive constructive feedback
  • Ability to work up to forty (40) hours per week.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse populations, organizations, and interests
  • Must pass a criminal background check (CORI & SORI)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with youth development work
  • At least eighteen (18) years of age or older
  • Six (6) months of previous supervisory experience
  • Six (6) months of previous administrative experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with children and families from diverse cultural, socioeconomic backgrounds and abilities
  • Experience facilitating OST (out of school time) activities
  • Experience working with Google Drive

SALARY: $17.00 - $17.50 hourly, part-time, temporary, non-benefitted.
