The Worcester Police Department is seeking qualified applicants for a Detention Attendant (Part-Time). The employee will maintain order and provide for the care and security of prisoners at the police compound or jail. The Detention Attendant will receive, process, and transport city prisoners, protect their well-being and arrange for them to perform work details. The successful candidate will be responsible for the sanitary and general building maintenance of the jail or compound, the ground area around the compound and security in certain units of the Worcester Police Department.

SALARY: $18.46- $22.31, hourly. This is a part-time position with a schedule of minimum 24 hours per week. Flexibility and ability to work all shifts (7:00 am–3:00 pm, 3:00pm to 11:00pm, 11:00pm to 7:00am), weekends and holidays as scheduled.
