The Office of the City Clerk seeks a qualified individual to serve as temporary Election Officers for Mail-in Voting. Preparation for mail-in voting period is anticipated to begin October 3rd and conclude November 11th. The incumbent must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to lift and handle materials and equipment up to forty (40) pounds. Furthermore, the applicant must have the ability to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods of time.
Elections Officers are responsible for performing considerable customer service; preparing mail in ballots; processing mail in ballot applications in the state voter registration system; ensuring that election laws are followed; and recording election activities. Successful candidates will have thorough knowledge of business English, spelling and arithmetic; the ability to operate an iPad; ability to exercise good judgment in making decisions in accordance with laws, ordinances, regulations and established policies; possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse populations.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a customer service role.
• Must be a US Citizen and a registered voter.

SALARY: $18.00 hourly, part-time, temporary (10/03/2022 – 11/11/2022), non-benefitted.
