The Street Sweeping Program is designed to collect sand debris—not to collect yard waste.
Do Not Place Leaf or Brush Piles In the Street
Obey posted “No Parking” signs--Violators may be ticketed $50.00 and towed.
Beginning Tuesday, April 12, 2022, DPW&P will begin residential street sweeping in Routes 22 and 23 shown in the green shaded area on the map online at the following link: http://www.worcesterma.gov/streets/spring-street-sweeping
The street sweeping areas in Route 22 and 23 is bounded by Stafford Street, Curtis Street, Webster Street, Fremont Street, McKeon Road, and Whipple Street and by Eureka Street, Main Street, Ludlow Street, Heard Street and Knox Street.
Residents in the sweeping area should sweep sidewalk debris into the street. Yard waste must not be placed in the street. Yard Waste will not be collected and violators may be fined.
The DPW&P sweeps residential side streets from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Yard waste facilities are open on Wednesday and Saturdays. Bagged leaves and brush can be taken to 1065 Millbury Street Wednesdays from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Bagged leaves (no brush) may also be taken to the Chandler Street (across from Foley Stadium) or Clark Street (Near East Mtn. St.) drop-off locations on Wednesdays from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
