  The Board of Election Commissioners is holding a public hearing on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. in the Esther Howland (South) Chamber, Worcester City Hall, 455 Main St., when the Board will listen to residents, voters and others with comments on the preliminary ward and precinct maps of the City of Worcester in response to the 2020 US Census.   One of two meeting chambers situated in Worcester City Hall, this room is named after Levi Lincoln, Jr. (1782 - 1868) an American lawyer and politician. He served as Governor of Massachusetts from 1825 to 1834 and in the United States Congress from 1834 to 1841. Born in Worcester he was a major civic and philanthropic force, owning and developing land in the city, and serving as its first mayor in 1848.
